Miller Course Goals: 1. To identify and understand contemporary issues in the Juvenile Justice system. 2. To identify the roles of various authorities involved in the administration of the Juvenile Justice system. 3. To identify and understand the significance of the various stages a juvenile court proceeding. Grading: Student grades will be determined by the instructor based upon class preparation, attendance, participation and performance on a final examination. Teaching method: The course will be taught through lecture, discussion and analysis of the text material. Additionally, students must give a presentation which involves an issue addressed by this course.
